Weakness as a Tool for Strength (365 Days of Daring Faith — DAY 254)

weakness-as-a-tool-for-strength

Psalm 84:5a (NLT)
What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord.

At times, we get tired. We grow weary after a long day of work. We feel physically weak, even exhausted. We run out of energy, time, and resources. Sometimes, we run out of emotional and mental capacity to handle all of the difficulties and struggles that inevitably exist in our lives. The main reason we feel tired and run out of energy is because we’re human. This is a part of what it means to be a part of humanity. Read more…

Help From Above (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 130)

Help From Above

Psalm 121:1-2 (NLT)
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!

We need help! There are many times we may feel as though we can’t do what God has called us to do. We may feel like we don’t have enough talent, enough strength, or enough qualifications. There is a lot of truth to these feelings. Whatever God has called you to do, there is no way possible you can do it without Him. Read more…

Powerless (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 129)

Powerless

Isaiah 40:29-30 (NLT)
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.

At some point in our lives, we would like to believe that we are powerful. Some of us even pursue power on a regular basis. On our jobs, at our homes, in matter of finances and education, we want to be in control. Powerlessness doesn’t create a long line of people waiting to obtain. The desire to be in control, while seemingly attractive, can lead to disastrous consequences. Read more…

Stronger Than Human Strength (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 115)

Stronger Than Human Strength

1 Corinthians 1:25 (NLT)
…God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

In life, there will always be hangups and holdups. We will face circumstances that aim to keep us separated from reaching our goals or prevent us from making progress. Mistakes and failure are common experiences for all mankind. We will find ourselves in situations that are difficult and out of our control to handle. These encounters in life are when our human weaknesses hit us as reality.  Read more…

Be Happy About Your Weaknesses

Be Happy About Your Weaknesses

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

There are many times we may feel as though we can’t do what God has called us to do. We may feel like we don’t have enough talent, enough strength, or enough qualifications. But you know what, there is a lot of truth to these feelings. If God has called us to do something, there is no way possible we could do it without His help. In fact, if we could do God’s work without Him, then it would cease to be His work and would become ours. Read more…

Be the Light for Somebody Else

Unfortunately, our world is filled with a great deal of sadness, hurt, pain, and death. We don’t have to live long or look far to realize that we are not living in a perfect world. People hurt on the inside and the outside. Some grieve openly while others choose to grieve privately. Some people see the world through dark colored lens while others are unable to see the world at all. Through no fault of their own, many children are born into poverty, illiteracy, war, and violence. They know no other world but the one they have lived in all their lives.
