She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.

What do we make room for in our lives? Our spouses. Our children. Our significant others. Our pets. Our work. Our hobbies. Our daily agendas. Our faith doesn’t always make the list. Sometimes, we tend to put faith on a back burner while pursuing what we deem as more important. Other times, faith just gets pushed to the back burner because we allow so many other things to crowd our line of vision, hearing, and feeling. You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!

Listen to any presidential candidate on the campaign trail or in a debate with their opponent and you will see a continuous conversation about how one is better than the other and how what one says about another is unfair and/or untrue. How the other person responds is more of an example of how to and how not to respond when accusations are thrown your way, when you’re treated unfairly, or when someone hates you and wants to hurt you.
