Galatians 6:1 (NLT)
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

Throughout the Bible, Christians are exhorted to love, help, and serve one another. We are also admonished to not allow ourselves to fall prey to being perpetrators of passing judgment, condemnation, and gossip. This is a recurring command in Scripture because God wants us to reflect His love and humility in the world.  Read more…

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

We all are tempted at some point in our lives. It is a part of the human experience and a part of the believers’ experience. Many Christians falsely believe that temptation is bad and should be avoided. However, temptation in and of itself is not bad. It is an opportunity for us to develop and grow.  Read more…

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands.

The story is told of a man who set out to sail around the world. Some time during his adventure, his sailboat hit a large rock that was invisible from the surface. For days, he wandered with his broken boat until he reach a small patch of land.

Once he reached land, with little food and clean water, he lay on the dirt for a nap. At some point during the night, a snake bit his foot to the point where he could not walk at all. The pain was excruciating; his attempt to apply what little medical knowledge he had only seemed to make it worse. After a while, he decided that in order to survive until help came, he had to cut his foot off. Read more…
