So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

God is the source of every good and perfect gift in the world. All the things you see and even the things you can’t see are a result of God’s goodness and grace in the universe. God said in Genesis that what he created was good. He gave it to us as a gift of his divine providence. If we as mere humans love to give gifts to the people we love, God loves to give gifts a million times more than that. Read more…

As we grow from the infancy stage of life, many of us seem to develop a reticent fear that there is not enough to go around. Amongst kindergarten children, this is the case as many of them learn to look out for their own interests. The world seems to think it is important to always be looking out for number one. Pray. Believe. Ask. Receive.

Mark 11:24 (NLT)
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

When we pray and ask God for something, we exercise our faith that what we ask for can and will come to pass. This verse is one that I hold on to as both a promise and a command. A promise because whatever I ask for in prayer and believe for in faith, I will receive it. A command because God wants us to pray, believe, and receive.  Read more…
