Ask For the Help You Need (365 Days of Spirited Living — DAY 352)

“The only mistake you can make is not asking for help.”
— Sandeep Jauhar

Asking for help is quite the obstacle for many of us who are naturally independent and tend to be self-reliant. It seems to be a common denominator with the independent minded that struggle with and even suffer from our inability to ask for help. We are good, even great, at helping others and even telling other people, “if you need help, just ask me. I’m always willing to help.” But we don’t follow our own advice in reverse. We falsely think that because we can do one or two things extremely well that we can do all things extremely well and that we don’t need help. Nothing could be further from the truth. Read more…

3 More Ways We Hinder Our Own Growth (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 252)

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
— Abraham Maslow

The opportunity to grow is always before us. But not everyone takes the chance on an opportunity when it presents itself. When we don’t choose to grow (and growth is a choice), we miss out on important parts of our lives in which we wouldn’t otherwise improve. Nothing grows in isolation. Sow New Seeds, Grow New Trees (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 77)

Sow New Seeds Grow New Trees

“To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.”
— José N. Harris

Then, they cultivate those seeds by turning their discoveries into points of action. Each day you live is a chance not just to live, but to absorb knowledge and learn more about the world around you and your place in it. Read more…

10 Ways To Care For Yourself

10 Ways To Care For Yourself lifeology

1. If it feels wrong, don’t do it. We all have a conscience, a gut, intuition, or an inner voice that talks to us. We are internally informed before we act. Therefore, the voice inside of us tells us when we’re about to do something wrong and even when we’re about to do something right. Listen to your heart like you would a good friend; it can save you tons of trouble in the long run.

2. Never give up on your dreams. You’re not dreaming for nothing. What you envision can and will come to pass. All dreams are fulfilled in time. If you give up before your time comes around, you give up on some possibilities, opportunities, and blessings too.
