Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

It seems odd that anyone would attempt to improve upon recognized great artwork of years past. Think about John Constable’s The Haywain, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, or Pablo Picasso: Guernica. Some people have actually tried to improve upon such great works — even recreate them. But it is hard for a person skilled in identifying counterfeits to be fooled by a false painting. Read more…
