“Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.”
— Judy Blume

Overcoming any type of fear can be challenging. Fear is not visible but it exists in our minds and is made evident through our actions. We give fear human characteristics and even a personality without giving any thought to the effect it can have on us. We don’t have to give fear life. Sometimes there is something wrong and all we can do is deal with it. Most times, there is nothing really wrong, and we act out of anger, disappointment, or stress anyway. You have the power to create a life where fear does not play a role. When you conquer your fears, you liberate your life. Read more…

That awareness of fear makes them more cautious when it should make them realize that it is the fear that is causing so much chaos in their lives. You can transcend your fears only when you are able to face them. And there is nothing wrong with facing the thing you are afraid so it won’t paralyze you and hold you back from achieving your dreams. Read more…

“Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.”
— Francis Chan

Fear can be both healthy and dangerous. In one regard, it is a critical response to physical and emotional danger. Without this type of fear, we couldn’t protect ourselves from legitimate dangers and threats. But the other type of fear is the kind that holds us back from reaching our goals. It causes us to avoid opportunities that are good for us and avoid situations in which we feel people will think ill of us. Overcoming fear is a skill anyone can learn. Read more…

Genesis 3:9-10, NIV
But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

What often happens when criminals get caught? They run or hide from the law. Let’s say that a man has robbed a convenience store. He already knows deep inside of him that what he has done is wrong. Therefore, he feels guilty. When he hears the police car siren down the street, he takes off running as quickly as he can. He fears the consequences of his actions. Read more…
