A World of Massages

Mark 10:43-44 (NLT)
But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else.

The battle against selfishness is one of the greatest battles we will ever fight. When we really get down to it, we tend to major in “me,” “I,” and “mine.” We forget about others and seek to serve ourselves. We want for someone else to give to us, to serve us, to help us, and so on. We want to get the massages — everyone does. But we have a wrong perspective of servanthood.
