Those Are Your Thoughts and Plans, Not Mine (365 Days of Daring Faith — DAY 346)

Isaiah 55:8 (NLT)
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”

God is loving, kindhearted, merciful, gracious, long-suffering, and everlasting. God comforts those who are grieving, heals those who are sick, and answers those who pray. God promises that if you knock, the door will be opened; if you look for something, you will find it; and if you ask, you will receive. All of us have needs and desires that we oftentimes try to get met in our own way and time. But God is much wiser than His creation and He cannot be manipulated, tried, controlled, exploited, or deceived. He fulfills His promises to us in His will and way and time. Read more…

Don’t Color Out the Line (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 148)

Don’t Color Out the Line

Ruth 1:1 (NLT)
In the days when the judges ruled in Israel, a severe famine came upon the land. So a man from Bethlehem in Judah left his home and went to live in the country of Moab, taking his wife and two sons with him.

The story of Ruth is a compelling lesson of what it looks like to be committed to someone and to love them with all your heart. It is also a powerful lesson in listening to God’s voice and staying in the path He has set. Even if it is easier to look the other way or go somewhere else, it is always better to stay right where God puts you.  Read more…

You Are Always on His Mind

You Are Always on His Mind

“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!” -Psalm 139:17-18 (NLT)

Have you ever considered what God thinks about? Do you want to know what is on His mind? The Bible tells us that God is always thinking about us and His thoughts about us are precious and beautiful. He thinks of us constantly. It is comforting to know that we were created by a God who always has us on His mind. Read more…

Everything Is Impossible Until God Shows Up (Fearless Living #2)

Genesis 21:17-18, NIV
God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

Imagine being in a family with food to eat, water to drink, a roof over your head, and something to do, and then all of a sudden being kicked out to make it on your own. Imagine attempting a long trek through a desert land with very little supplies and wondering if you and your child will make it to a destination of which you are unsure. Imagine the fear and frustration of not being able to call on any human being for help when you need it most. Read more…

What Are You Waiting For?

Before you were even born, God had a plan for your life. He gave you a unique purpose to do something great in your lifetime. Imagine that every single person, billions and billions of people in every country of the world, were each specially created and specially gifted, unique and different from everybody else. No two people are alike. No two people’s lives are alike. Your life can only be lived by you and your purpose can only be fulfilled by you. You may have gifts and talents similar to someone else, but they are never exactly the same. Read more…

God’s Plan For You Cannot Be Stopped

Gods Plan For You Cannot Be Stopped

“What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?” (Romans 3:3).

In life, there will always be critics and negative people who will try to persuade you from your dreams and goals. Some of these people may genuinely mean well, but if you’re not careful, most of them are simply trying to discourage you from accomplishing great things. It is not the opinions of other people that matter; what matters is God’s opinion and what you believe about yourself. Read more…
