God At Work (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 32)

God At Work

Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

God often uses difficult situations in our lives to work out His perfect plan and will. He doesn’t aim to scare us or make us fearful, but He does aim to make His glory known through the grace that should be evident in our hearts. The work of grace is a work of trust and goodness. It helps us to surrender to what God wants done in the world. It increases our faith. We are urged not to give up because God is still working on you and me.

Easter Focus Passage: Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.

17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Easter Truth – WRAP-UP:

Over the past 40 days, we have gone through select passages of Scripture in both the Old and New Testaments to look further at the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and what that means for us today. We have been encouraged, humbled, inspired, sobered, and filled with joy at the prophecies and events that happened to make up what we call the Easter story. The wonderful thing about Easter and the days leading up to it is that it is a story that lives on for ages because Jesus Christ is alive and lives in the hearts of those who believe. The day of Easter may be over but the victory from Christ’s resurrection should be reflected in our lives every day. Read more…

Easter Focus Passage: Ephesians 5:1-2

1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children

2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Easter Truth – DAY THIRTY-SIX:

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is by far the greatest event to ever take place in history. Nothing else comes close to the importance and severity of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. It is a complex event that speaks to the power and divinity of Jesus and His unconditional love in coming to earth to bear the sins of the entire world and to give us all a way out of our misery. Easter Focus Passage: Job 19:21-29

25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;

27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! Read more…

Easter Focus Passage: 1 Peter 4:12-16

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.

16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. Read more…
