SORRY, WE CAN’T LIVE EACH OTHER’S DREAM (Live. Pray. Hustle. 05/07/17)

SORRY, WE CAN’T LIVE EACH OTHER’S DREAM (Live. Pray. Hustle. 05/07/17)

There is always going to be someone who you think is living the life you want. They may seem to have it all together, have something more than you do, or have something better than you. But the real truth is, no one else is living your dream. Not because they don’t want to, but because they can’t. Every single person must live their own life and fulfill their own dreams. It is not possible to live the life of another person or fulfill someone else’s dreams because you are too different and too unique for that to happen.

If you wait for opportunity, you’ll never get it. Opportunity is more often than not, something that you fight to create, not something given to you. It takes courage to get up every morning, rain or shine, and pursue your dreams. Dreaming is easy. It’s the path we have to take to turn our dreams into reality that makes most of us quit. That path is not easy like the dream in our head. But it’s what must be done and it’s worth it.

Use the Potential You Have and It Suddenly Becomes Enough (365 Days of Spirited Living — DAY 358)

“Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Do not bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.”
— William Faulkner

How much time do we waste thinking that we are not enough or that we don’t have enough or know enough to make progress? How much time do we waste wishing we had more talent, more skill, and more potential to be and do more. How much potential and talent do we actually waste while we waste time doing all that thinking and wishing. Read more…

3 Habits that Stop You from Achieving (365 Days of Spirited Living — DAY 303)

“I feel that the greatest reward for doing is the opportunity to do more.”
— Jonas Salk

Each day, we dream about the things we want to achieve. One of the reasons we do this is because we have an innate desire to be useful at something and when we are not, we feel lost and insignificant. The simple fact is, what you do in your everyday life is either helping you in your journey or causing you to regress in some way. Until you take time to identify and evaluate your daily habits, you may continue to keep dreaming but still feel lost. Read more…

Why You Should Never Give Up (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 302)

why-you-should-never-give-up

“When things go wrong, don’t go with them.”
— Elvis Presley

The one main reason so many people don’t reach their goals, never realize their dreams, don’t get what they want, and don’t get to where they want to go is because they give up too soon. And let’s face it, there are probably one or two or several things we have given up on at one point or another in our lives. The reason we give up isn’t nearly as important as the fact that we just give up.

The Courage to Live (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 299)

the-courage-to-live

“They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
— Benjamin Franklin

We live in a society that constantly expresses the idea of conscious safety. Courage is all but lost to most of the human race. At the least, it is assigned to police officers, military members, or for that rare single soul that has traveled the distance from rags to riches. We never once stop to think that we can all live daringly and bravely if we just tried. Read more…
