Genesis 26:24, NIV
That night the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.”

The Philistines envied Isaac and his wealth and prosperity. Before then, they had a love/hate relationship with Isaac’s father, Abraham. Isaac was the son God had promised to Abraham, and thus God’s blessings were passed down from Abraham to Isaac. It was nothing that Isaac did to incur God’s blessings in his life.
