Psalm 25:1 (NLT)
O Lord, I give my life to you.

Control and surrender are on opposite ends of the see-saw for the children of God. On one side and in one part of us, we want to set our agendas, push our plans and wills through, dominate what goes on in our lives, and command ourselves. On the other side of us, the believing side, we want to give everything about us to the only Person who is really concerned about it. Running from the Law

Genesis 3:9-10 (NLT)
Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

What often happens when criminals get caught? They run from the law. This is what happened to Adam and Eve. God had given them a beautiful garden, something to do, and just one command to follow. As soon as Adam and Eve broke God’s rule, they became aware of their actions.  Read more…
