By Faith (365 Days of Daring Faith — DAY 347)

by-faith

Hebrews 11:27 (NLT)
It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.

There are two ways to live in life. You can live by faith or you can live by fear. When you live by fear, you will always be worried, anxious, disappointed, and stressed. When you live by faith, you will live in peace, joy, trust, and surrender. As believers, we are responsible for what kind of life we choose to live. Almost every good thing we desire or want to happen will require us to have faith. Read more…

Turn On the Grace (365 Days of Daring Faith — DAY 255)

turn-on-the-grace

Ephesians 4:1 (NLT)
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

You need to know something in this life. You are never ever alone. You do not have to bear the burdens of the world in your own strength. You are valued, loved, and heard by God. God loves you — always has and always will. Nothing that you do or that happens in your life will keep God back from loving you and watching over you. Nothing can separate you from his love because it is through grace that he extends his love and peace to us. Read more…

Believing Is Seeing (without Sight) (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 177)

Believing Is Seeing (without Sight)

“I knew that if I failed I wouldn’t regret that, but I knew the one thing I might regret is not trying.”
— Jeff Bezos

Success in achieving our goals ultimately depends on having a mindset that is prematurely steeped in victory. This means that you already have the view that you are going to win before you actually get there. All of this is based on choice and developing good habits which project a positive mental attitude and outlook upon every aspect of your life.  Read more…

Keep Dreaming (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 155)

Keep Dreaming

“You have to dream before your dreams can come true.”
— A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Everybody has, at one point or another, had a dream. I’m not talking about dreams you have while you’re sleeping. I’m talking about dreams of what you will do and where you will be in life. Some people’s dreams are big while others’ dreams are small. Oftentimes, those who have big dreams make a conscious decision to make their dreams a reality.  Read more…

Risky Business (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 140)

Risky Business

Luke 14:28 (NLT)
But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?

Jesus’ call for people to follow Him doesn’t come with many tangible benefits. The kind of benefits that a high profile job offers are not part of the deal. He doesn’t promise a life of ease or a bed of roses. In fact, nothing close to it is anywhere in there. He tells us clearly it will be challenging and even heartbreaking at times. Read more…

Pray. Believe. Ask. Receive. (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 137)

Pray. Believe. Ask. Receive.

Mark 11:24 (NLT)
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

When we pray and ask God for something, we exercise our faith that what we ask for can and will come to pass. This verse is one that I hold on to as both a promise and a command. A promise because whatever I ask for in prayer and believe for in faith, I will receive it. A command because God wants us to pray, believe, and receive.  Read more…

Praying In Faith Opens Doors for God to Do the Impossible

Praying In Faith Opens Doors for God to Do the Impossible

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24).

When we pray and ask God for something, we exercise our faith that what we ask for can and will come to pass. Prayer opens up a supernatural door by which we can make our requests known to God. Whatever we desire or wish for in life will be given to us or come to pass by matter of our faith in God who can do the impossible. Faith is not just the knowledge of what God can do, it is the assurance of what He will do. Faith is what pleases God. Faith is what move mountains. Read more…
