No Point of Termination (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 184)

No Point of Termination

Ecclesiastes 3:14 (NLT)
And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him.

The human mind has been created as such that we can only think to the point of an end. We are three-dimensional beings. We require boundaries. There is an end to our work. There is a goal line, a finish line to what we can do and accomplish. We cannot begin to think about infinity, but God can. There is even a point of termination to what we can think, create, dream, and envision.

This is not the case with God. Most of us get called out in public documents twice in our lifetime. The first is when we enter the world and the second is when we exit the world. Has it ever occurred to you that there is no end to the works of God. God has always been and always will be. Whatever He does is complete and final. it requires no additions or deductions.

The human spirit, like the work of God, is everlasting. It spans the years, the decades, and the centuries. To be separated from God because of our sin is to live on a plane that continuously descends until it hits a point of no return. And there is no feeling worse than that. But to become a child of God through the extraordinarily painful work of Jesus Christ is to remain in God’s presence in both life and death forever.

“Since this life is God’s and cannot die, it follows that everyone born anew into possessing this life is said to have eternal life.”
