Go with the Flow (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 178)
Philippians 2:13 (NLT)
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
The philosophy that many people guide their lives by is to “follow your feelings.” Go with what feels natural. Follow your instincts; let your heart lead you. But our feelings aren’t always right. The only time we can really trust our feelings is when we are in the will of God. When we know we are doing God’s will, our feelings will fall in line.
Seeking the kingdom of Christ above all else is a believer’s highest calling. When we willingly follow Christ in everything, we will have the right feelings. Surrender and trust come before any doing. When your soul is guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, He creates in us the will to do what is right in God’s sight in spite of how we feel.
True believers fall in love with God’s will. They go with the flow of Christ, not with what they feel. If you are one with God in Christ and you desire to do His will in your life, He will create in you the inclination to go with His flow for your life. To let go of your plans and agenda, you don’t need strength. You need faith, trust, and confidence in God’s will.
“God’s will is like a jigsaw puzzle, you won’t be able to see the whole picture until all the pieces are together.”
