Broken Crowns (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 175)
Luke 15:10 (NLT)
In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.
The value God places on each human life cannot be compared to anything else. Many times people want to know how much they matter to other people. But what really matters is how valued we are by God. In Scripture, a lost sheep, lost money, and a lost son were diligently searched for until they were found. This is how much God cares for us.
All of us wear dusty and broken crowns. Our hearts are crippled and our souls long for something eternal. Many people are lost, searching, and seeking for value and meaning. God wants you more than anything. And when we turn to Him in humility and confession, all of Heaven rejoices. Once lost, now found. This is the reality of God’s love.
We have the opportunity to live like royalty — sons and daughters of God. But on our own, we still wear broken crowns. We must recognize this and cast our crowns — as tattered and torn as they are — at the feet of Jesus. Confess your sins and turn away from them and let Him wipe away the stains and give you eternal glory and victory.
“Forgiveness is the giving, and so the receiving, of life.”
