3 Choice Signs You’re Doing Just Fine

“It’s enough to indulge and to be selfish but true happiness is really when you start giving back.”
— Adrian Grenier

There is a flame inside of everyone’s heart. If it is nurtured, it grows to become a fire. If it is properly fed and cared for, it becomes a wildfire that lights up the entire world. Do not mistake the fire in your heart as an accident. It is there for a reason. It will set off alarms, turn on the sprinkler system, and make a mad ruckus of everything around it. That flame in everyone’s heart is what turns dreams into reality and makes goals worth fighting for.

Here are 3 signs you’re doing just fine:

1. You have goals. And you are actively working on them. Even if it feels far away, almost out of reach, or nearly impossible, you know what you want to do with your life and you’re taking every bit of action to get there. Goals are like boundaries. They keep us focused on the right path.

2. You give back. When it comes down to brass tacks, the reality is, there are two kinds of people in the world: Givers and Takers. Givers are the happiest; takers are too self-absorbed to be happy. Spend your time doing things that will benefit other people. Participate in life.

3. You can make any situation work. Since every situation comes with its pros and cons, it’s best to make yourself flexible. Be uncompromisingly not set in your ways and willing to make adjustment to your plans. If you get stubborn, you may miss crucial opportunities that would have gotten you to your goal faster if you had only been flexible enough to take them.

“When you’re in a position to have gotten so much, the gift at this point is giving back.”
— Paul Stanley
