Pray. Believe. Ask. Receive. (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 137)
Mark 11:24 (NLT)
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
When we pray and ask God for something, we exercise our faith that what we ask for can and will come to pass. This verse is one that I hold on to as both a promise and a command. A promise because whatever I ask for in prayer and believe for in faith, I will receive it. A command because God wants us to pray, believe, and receive.
Prayer opens up a supernatural door by which we can make our requests known to God. It pleases God when we open our hearts to Him and pray bold prayers, asking Him for big things. God is not intimidated by any request. In fact, He knows what we need before we even ask Him. He knows or hearts, our needs, our wants, and our desires. He is delighted when we come before Him with requests.
Faith is not just the knowledge of what God can do, it is the assurance of what He will do. Even though we can’t see into the future, God can. And He answers our prayers according to His will for our lives. Start asking God for whatever it is that you need. Ask God to help you overcome obstacles and embrace new possibilities. If you ask in faith, believing that you will receive whatever it is you are asking, the Bible declares that you will have it.
“Heaven is full of answers to prayers for which no one ever bothered to ask.”
