3 Real Signs You’re Doing Just Fine (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 137)

3 Real Signs You’re Doing Just Fine

“One of the secrets of life is to make stepping stones out of stumbling blocks.”
— Jack Penn

There is much pressure to live up to certain standards coming from every direction. But too many people get hung up on the small everyday problems that they never realize they can set their own standards, chart their own course, and live their own life. Everything is a process and you are doing well so long as you’re making progress.

Here are 3 signs you’re doing just fine:

1. You are working toward goals. The beginning of every amazing thing is a goal. Forget about how difficult it is, how long it will take, or how far away it seems. When you’re focused on your goals, you’ve got a lot more going for you than most people. When you know where you’re going, it is much easier to focus and continue working to what you want to achieve.

2. You are the real deal. Society is full of fakes and phonies. To be real in a world of stick-figures and duplicates is beauty both inside and out. If you know who you are, where you are going, when you want to arrive, what you stand for, and what you want in life, you are two steps ahead of those who haven’t given being themselves a thought.

3. You enjoy life. Most people play all the time or work all the time and neither really enjoy life. If you have something you really like to do even if it is watching movies, binge watching TV shows, buying ice cream, sleeping, or just lounging and doing nothing, you have more than most people have. Life is to be enjoyed, not endured. And if you understand this, you are doing just fine.

“You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.”
— Stephen King
