3 More Signs You’re Doing Just Fine (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 136)

3 More Signs You’re Doing Just Fine

“The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.”
— Ferdinand Foch

It is so easy to get consumed with what we haven’t achieved, what we don’t have, where we aren’t now, and who we aren’t like that we fail to realize the good things we have accomplished, the wonderful things and people we have, the place we are in now, and the beauty of who we are.

Here are 3 signs you’re doing just fine:

1. You focus on your passion. Passion is what drives people to become more, to do more, and to be more. It wakes us up excited and causes us not to want to go to sleep. When you give all your energy, time, money, and talent to pursuing your passion, you will find satisfaction and fulfillment that many people only dream of having.

2. You hear and listen. Many people hear without listening but very few hear and listen. People can tell when we’re just hearing them and when we’re really listening. It takes little effort to hear, but a lot of brain power to listen. Listening involves thoughts, feelings, expectations, and beliefs. When we listen, we follow up on what we’ve heard with positive action.

3. You are truly free. Freedom is a coveted commodity. Like water and food, freedom is rare in many parts of the world. Even in well-developed countries, people are physically free but bound on the inside. When you are truly free, you don’t worry about what other people say, do, or think. Being able to do what you want to do the way you want to do it is both a blessing and a privilege.

“Many a man would rather you heard his story than granted his request.”
— Phillip Stanhope
