Invited (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 133)
Romans 10:14 (NLT)
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
The church should extend an open invitation for all people to come and take part in the Bread that gives life. Jesus is our ultimate joy, hope, peace, and purpose of living. Without Him, life will take a turn for the worse. This is why Jesus invites all people to come to Him. We should be facilitators of that.
How do you learn about dinner parties, birthday parties, and wedding parties? By getting invited. To not have an invitation to a party means you don’t have access to participate in the festivities. As believers, we should willingly share our faith and invite other people to the church to which we belong.
Faith is not to be kept to one’s self. Faith is to be shared. A vibrant faith is a faith that grows. It is compelling and convicting. It can’t be hid or even trampled upon. When we’re intentional about our faith, we will pray for opportunities to spread the light that is in our hearts with those around us.
“Jesus himself did not try to convert the two thieves on the cross; he waited until one of them turned to him.”
— Dietrich Bonhoeffer
