Where Do You Live? (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 128)
Psalm 23:6 (NLT)
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Ask any person on any given day “where do you live”? You are bound to get a range of answers. Some might say they live on a certain street or in a certain neighborhood. Others might give you a location in relation to distance from an important building. Still others might give you the name of a city, town, state, province, or country.
For the Christian, is is of very little importance where we live physically. It is where we live spiritually that makes all of the difference. Our spiritual location should always be “in Christ.” These two words change the journey and the destination of our life course. If you live in Christ, no matter where you are or where you go, you will never leave your true home.
The person who chooses to abide in the house of the Lord all the days of his life will be followed by goodness and chased down by unfailing love. The one who is in pursuit of eternity will be pursued by the eternal Creator God. Whatever difficulty may come your way, know that abiding in the presence of the Lord is a continuous feast by which hope rises and faith is made strong.
“Your identity is not in your sin, your identity is in your Savior.”
