3 Real Signs You’re Moving Forward (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 127)
“When you find yourself in the thickness of pursuing a goal or dream, stop only to rest. Momentum builds success.”
— Suzy Kassem
In every thing we do, we must have a reason behind it. Without a reason, things will just not happen. Where there is no reason, you will find a way to avoid moving forward. If your reason is weak, you will find a way to edge out of what you know you should do. Progress always lies on the other side of every reason you feel you shouldn’t do something. Make sure your reason for doing something or not doing something isn’t weak. To make progress, make sure you have a strong reason behind why you do what you do.
Here are three more signs you’re moving forward in life even if you don’t feel it:
1. When your happiness is genuine. You know that you have the power to choose happiness in your life. You’ve realized that leaving your happiness up to other people or at the whims of situations is disappointing. Instead you’ve taken responsibility for being happy despite outcomes, every day, and in every circumstance. Your decision to be happy has caused you to be more productive and to seize opportunities as soon as they come your way.
2. When you have and embrace your dreams. Dreams is the stuff life is made of. Almost everyone can dream, but not everyone does. Many people have dreams, but don’t have the will to act on them or the perseverance to see them become reality. Whatever your dream is, you have embraced the ability to define it, work for it, and create it. You’ve decided not to give up in difficulty and refuse to be discouraged by negativity. Your dream propels you forward, keeps you passionate, and leave you eager to see each new day.
3. When you embrace the power of choice. Everyone possesses the ability to choose their actions, thoughts, and direction of their lives. However, not everyone chooses to choose. You’ve realized that things don’t just happen, goals just don’t get met, projects just don’t get done, relationships don’t just get started. It takes intentionality, effort, and execution. You know that chance doesn’t determine where you go or how you get there. Choice does.
“Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.”
— William Jennings Bryan
