Closer Than You Think (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 120)

Closer Than You Think

Psalm 145:18 (NLT)
The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

God is always closer than we think. He is even closer than we can feel. We don’t always feel that God is near especially when we are in trouble or facing some difficulty, but He is. God’s omnipresence is hard to understand. But we don’t need to understand it as much as we need to experience it.

God is close to all those who take the time to call on Him. The presence of God in our lives and the signs of His presence in the world are comforting. It offers hope in every situation that we face. When we call out to Him, He is ready and willing to hear and answer our requests. God is never out of reach and never busy.

When we find ourselves in need of help, we will find God in reach to assist us. We can call on God at anytime, in any place, for anything because He is always closer to us than we think. We don’t have to worry or go it alone. The ever-present reality of God opens up a vast reservoir of peace and fulfillment that nothing else and no one else can.

Whatever you are facing today, know that God is near. Whatever you are worried about today, take it to God in prayer. Thank Him for never leaving you. Ask Him to make His presence known in your life. You don’t have to understand God. He is too massive for our finite and feeble minds to understand. But you can experience God and it is the best experience you will ever encounter.

“God is in the hearts of all, and they that seek shall surely find Him when they need Him most.”
— Louisa May Alcott
