By, For, and With a Purpose (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 110)
Colossians 1:16 (NLT)
For through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.
What is the meaning of life? Since the beginning of the world, philosophers, psychologists, and everyday people have sought to discover the purpose of life. Some say it is to be happy. Others say it is to do something creative. Still more people say life is given to us to do what we want to do. People look to many different sources to find significance and meaning.
But none of these things really matter. Until we realize that everything and everybody in the world was created by God, for a reason, with a plan in mind, we will continue to be confused about our place in the world. We were made for the purpose of Jesus Christ. Through Christ, we find meaning, and we find purpose, peace, and power for living.
If you ever question why you are here or what your purpose is in life, remember that God created everything. He created you for a specific purpose. He had a plan in mind when you entered the world. It is your responsibility to fill that plan. You are not an accident. You are not a mistake. Take a moment to reflect on the reality of your existence and embrace His goodness and grace in your life.
“Every created beauty was created by God to lead our affections to Him.”
