Worthy Investments (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 95)

Worthy Investments

Luke 12:34 (NLT)
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

What do you spend your time on most? If you can answer that question, you will see where your heart is most of the time. We like to think that what we do in this life only impacts us. But it is deeper than that. What you do on earth now will influence you and others around you for all of eternity.

It is not enough for you and I to have faith only and receive God’s grace only. We are responsible for sharing our faith with others. People are one of our greatest investments. Tell those who don’t believe what it means to trust Jesus and believe Him for eternal life. Use words, use your attitude, use your actions, and use your life.

For many people in your life, you may be the only example of Jesus that they see. If no one else extends to them grace or love, you may be there only experience, their only chance to see life on a greater, higher level. We build up treasure in Heaven not by focusing on earthly possessions, but on eternal reward.

Our faith should inspire us to share it. A living faith empowers us to pass it on to others. A faith that is not alive is not worth sharing. But our faith in Jesus gives us hope and joy and beckons us to a continuous personal relationship with Him. This is what the world needs. Our obedience to God could just mean one life being changed completely. Ask God to make you a willing, open vessel who is focused on investing in treasures in Heaven.

“I have all that I need here and heaven hereafter! How much richer could anybody want to be?”
