You Can Handle This (365 Days of Spirited Living – DAY 79)

You Can Handle This

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.”
— Winston Churchill

There is something you ought to know about life. It is this: there is nothing that will come your way that you ultimately cannot handle. At first, you may not be able to feel it, see it, sense it, or understand it. You may not even believe it. But everything you go through is necessary for your growth and development.

We aren’t made to just go through life. Anybody in the world can merely get by. It is easy to live when there is no real challenge to overcome, conflict to face, or controversy to fan the flames. Ultimately, we are created to grow through life. It is the growing part that hurts the most. Diamonds don’t become diamonds until some pressure as been applied. Likewise, in life, we don’t become who we were meant to become until we’ve faced some obstacle.

When you get frustrated and want to give up, don’t. Use that energy to take more punches. When you fail and feel like life is unfair, know that it is true. But also remember that it’s all for something — success and failure. The fruit of failure is often success. We all encounter difficulty not to make us suffer, but to make us better. And if we allow it to make us better, we’ll produce more fruit in life than we have room for.

Faith and grit will get you through whatever you’re going through. If you just keep going, you’ll eventually come out on the other side. When you come out on the other side, you’’ll realize that the obstacles and challenges were really blessings in disguise. May you develop the guts and the grit to persevere no matter what. May you also be hopeful that the outcome will be good. Go ahead, you can handle this!

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”
— Brian Tracy
